Commitments to quality and the environment

We strive to offer a superior and ever-improving quality of service to our customers. This doesn't necessarily mean spending lavishly.

On the contrary, we make it a point of pride to carefully weigh and allocate the right resources to the right place to ensure that we can continue our business in a responsible, sustainable and principled manner.

Commitment to quality

ISO 9001/2015

Since 1997, the entire BMV group is ISO 9001 certified for all its activities. A quality monitoring audit is carried out every year.

AEO

The BMV group is AEO-certified for the “customs simplifications” certificate.

The group is currently working on the “safety, security” certificate in order to have the highest level of certification possible. These internationally recognised certificates are a guarantee for companies and authorities of the reliability and speed in the international supply chain.

Live animals

The DDPP (Direction Départementale de Protections des Populations) has issued BMV an authorisation to transport animals for its agents in the Rhône France Express network (Annecy, Annemasse, Auxerre, Bayonne, Besançon, Chambéry, Albertville, Pau and Sens).

The purpose of this approval is to ensure the well-being of live animals during transport.

In particular, we are required to comply with the following requirements:

  • Designate a trained correspondent in each agency who can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • List a veterinarian
  • Have a sheltered transit zone for live animals
  • Have a live animal water kit, etc.

Commitment to safety

SQAS

The SQAS is a standard designed to ensure the safety of goods, people and the environment during the handling and transport of sensitive products.

The BMV group’s Rungis branch has been evaluated by CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council). It was awarded a compliance rate of 71%.

Commitment to the environment

Carbon footprint

The BMV group carried out a carbon footprint assessment in early 2010. This is an audit, approved by the ADEME (French Environment & Energy Management Agency), which calculates the carbon emissions resulting from the company’s activity, both in terms of structure and operations.

The aim of the carbon footprint assessment is to evaluate the company’s environmental impact at a given time using an approved and supervised methodology.

ISO 14001/2015

Today the BMV group is certified at level 2 out of 3 of the ISO 14001 standard.

The 14001 standard is based on the continuous improvement of environmental performance through the limitation of the impacts resulting from the company’s activity. It ensures a structured approach to the creation of an environmental management system and its traceability.

The BMV group has made a twofold commitment to continuous progress and compliance with regulations.
